Came to watch the newly released 'Wake Up Dead Man' and had a wonderful time. Good venue, good lighting, comfortable seating and delicious popcorn. Had minimal interactions with staff but when I did they were all polite.

Was in the bar rather than the Cinema, great atmosphere, really good coffee for a bar. The bar also has the "bar bible" (aka staff handbook) in an easy to see place behind the bar. As a process nerd, this makes me happy and makes me feel more confident that it's competently run.

Iconic part of Edinburgh's cultural life. Lots of classic films along with the latest releases. Comfortable seats and clean environment. Lovely wee bar. BUT snacks are extortionate so bring your own.

2nd visit here for the Wes Anderson double feature and absolutely making it a regular occurrence to see movies here despite me living outside of the city. The ambiance is unmatched, the food options are amazing and allergy inclusive & there’s also a bar where you can order drinks to take into the film with you! Staff are lovely and always helpful.

This place is so fun and welcoming! We were enticed in by the delicious smell, and enjoyed the most amazing Veggie wraps & mango lassi. The lady who served us (and prepared all the food) was such a great character... loved the food and the experience 😊

A lovely vintage cinema that would deserve five stars if it weren't for the heavy smell of mould that immediately greeted my lungs and eyes when I entered screening room 1. For the sake of both patrons and staff, I hope something is done about it before it's too late. A venue this fantastic deserves to be preserved.

Staff and cinema are lovely. As others have mentioned there is a damp smell in the cinema which desperately needs to be sorted out. I hope they can sort this ASAP as the cinema is a lovely and important venue that deserves to be saved for future generations.

Excellent screens of films. I especially enjoy their screenings of non-current films. Excellent value membership. Staff are fantastic.
