Love this cinema! Its like going back in time! They only have 1 screen but show the most popular films that have just come out. You can get a mug of tea in the interval for £1.50 which I love! Really reasonably priced for film too think its £5

What a place. 1st visit and won’t be the last. Loved the film and atmosphere. The ice cream at the interval was delicious. My only worry was whether the seats would be comfortable. They didn’t disappoint. Very comfy! Very Nostalgic x

Such an authentic movie night out, including an intermission and ice cream. Comfortable chairs and reasonable legroom.

Wow! What a wonderful step back in time. They even have an interval and a lady with an ice-cream tray appears😋 and to top it all the film was very funny and thoroughly entertaining 👍 Oh, forgot... free coffee/tea for your 1st drink ☕

Truly fantastic evening at The Rex watching & singing along to Mama Mia sing a long movie. Truly amazing, thank you to Healthy Minds and The Rex. I'm looking forward to the next event ❤️

The theater is wonderful. It is like to have a trip to the past. The prices are very accessible. They interrupt the movie at the middle to sell ice cream. Hahaha I had so much fun. The chairs are comfortable.

A truly unique cinema experience. Being able to watch the latest blockbusters with a mug of tea and an ice cream is a gamechanger! The interval is a revelation too - I came to watch Oppenheimer and I probably would have struggled sitting through 3 hours without a break. I conveniently prebooked my ticket online (a bargain at £6.50) and was checked off a guestlist on arrival at the ticket office. The screen is sufficiently large and the volume is right for the small-ish room, with 300-odd comfortable seats (some with cupholders). It's fairly old fashioned and not flashy, making it a great alternative to the sterile experience offered by chain cinemas. I'll definitely be back, hopefully to hear the organ in action! *photos taken during the trailers, the lights aren't on during the feature film, and I obviously wouldn't take pictures once it started!*
