No. Dirty, sticky, expensive and bored drooping staff. Not fun. Stay home and rent movies. I wish we had. For the $100 that we spent we could’ve had a much better time at home.The GTX floor was sticky and disgusting. You could hear the shoes sticking as people walked. The bathroom reeked all the way into the hall and was gross. None of the obviously bored young guys looked at our tickets or even told us where the movie was. (We walked the wrong way and ended up having to walk my elderly aunt all the way down and back.) The “ recliner” we paid extra foris simply a larger cushier seat that goes back like an airplane seat. We (stupidly) spent almost $50 on concessions and they refused to give us little cardboard containers to share the giant popcorn. The slouching manager, while leaning casually against the counter, told me it was against company policy to facilitate sharing. Seriously? You sell this giant tub of popcorn and don’t facilitate sharing? After covid? “Sorry” he said, not sounding sorry at all. “It’s company policy.” So tip for anyone that goes – carry paper bowls in a bag so that you don’t have to keep passing a giant popcorn every 30 seconds…. I would’ve been a lot less irritated it had he even offered me the option to buy the little nacho or hotdog holders. We would’ve paid a quarter each for them. Instead, we ended up trying to not spill popcorn as each person poured popcorn into a napkin on their laps. All in all, we would’ve had a better time at home. We ended up coming home and washing the bottoms of our shoes. Yuck.

This was my first time back to a movie theater in over 5 years (following COVID and having kids). My wife and I went for a matinee. Unfortunately, our movie had literally just started, and storms moved through affecting the power causing the projector to go off but audio was still playing. Then power went out completely. The projector came back on but no audio. I stepped out to inform the staff and found 5 staff members standing around up front. Others were complaining about the same happening in the other rooms. I know they can't control the weather, but no one ever came to apologize and explain that they are working on it. We missed the first 25 minutes, and the movie was never started over before we finally went to ask for a refund. Only, to find the staff still standing around, and the only person there trying to do everything was a very young manager. I give it 2 stars, because the concessions were good and our refund was given without issue.

Ended up paying $41 dollars for a small nacho and drink combo, and adding 1 small popcorn on the side. Pretty sure the concessions clerk double charged us but there was a line behind us and I didn't feel like arguing the point. First time at this theatre and won't be going back. If you live a little south of Brunswick there's better options in North Florida.

Dec 2020 I had a lovely experience. The one guy working was very nice and helpful. Very pleasant and I appreciated it. The sound a new picture was great - no flaws. The bathroom was clean. The drink station was clean and in working order. Food was correct and fresh. In 1998 Now the GTX is perfect. Great theater but the staff sucks. When all these young punk kids and these young wanna be managers are miss treating the employees that have been there for years then I have a problem with it. Nothing but a bunch of teenyboppers running around trying to be in charge not having a clue of what they’re doing... leaving one brand new cashier up at the front who takes 20 minutes to count her drawer and the lines back up and the managers are nowhere to be found because the managers are always loafing and off playing on their phones or gallivanting somewhere. They suck!!! Ticks me off.. The good employees always get mistreated.

No longer can one buy their ticket from a kiosk. Now everyone must wait in the concession line to get their ticket. I find that extremely annoying as I come to watch the movie not to eat. I definitely avoid going on weekends due to that new policy. Otherwise it's decent, bring an extra shirt or light jacket as some theaters are cooler than others. Restaurants are clean as is the rest of the area. Edit: Now the kiosks are back online but require one to enter their email so as to get an email ticket. I don't like having to provide that information, I get enough junk email. I like the theater and it's convenient but this nonsense restricts my patronage.

I attended a 3:30 showing in the GTX theater today, 25 May 2025. It wasn’t until 10:08 I realized I was missing my wedding set that had fallen out of my purse. Panicking, I went back to the theater to check the seat. After looking on my own with no luck, there was a man in a blue Hawaiian shirt, I’m assuming the manager, that instantly asked a young woman to assist me in searching and granted permission to use a phone flashlight if needed. Through the gracious help of those two, I was able to locate the rings. I didn’t get the man’s name, but I appreciate his instantaneous willingness to assist, along with the young woman, more than words can possibly describe at this moment. I’m hoping this review finds his employer and he receives the praise he deserves for outstanding care and customer service that is so much lacking in today’s society. Thank you so very much!
