What an amazing experience. Loved the building, the style, the ambience and the setup. The old fella who made a brief appearance before 🎭 movie to say a few words was excellent too! Having a bar right there is very handy although there could have been a bit more choice but other than that, the lad serving was sound and polite. Would definitely recommend The Rex. Unfortunately we watched something that wasn't all that but the entire experience was 5* Thanks and we'll see you again soon!

A lovely welcoming and homely feeling as you walk through the door. All staff super friendly and a very calm atmosphere whether you are alone or with company youvare guaranteed an enjoyable evening. The seats are incredibly comfortable and plenty of leg space. Love the idea of getting a drink whether hot cold alcoholic and sit back and relax. I'm going again Took my husband as he loved the atmosphere Please visit this beautiful restored treasure. It's stunning visually and a pleasure to indulge in a bygone time as we should be enjoying cinema where everyone respectful and no kids kicking or pressing up on the back of you chair. In the words of Terminator .... I'll be back!!!! Lols 😂

I love this old cinema! Right in the centre of the town of Berkhamsted. An old style cinema with tables & chairs at the front by the screen and a huge cinema seating style behind. The old memorabilia as you enter takes you back to the nostalgia of film. Cannot wait to go again.

Trip back in time but with modern sound and projection systems. There are plenty of seating options, some with tables. Great prices and customers even took their rubbish with them. The only improvement I could add would be uniforms for the ushers and gold paint for radiators. A truly fabulous experience.

Beautiful old cinema full of charm and luxury, and a great mix of new releases and old classics shown. The bar is on the pricier side and tickets must be bought via membership, but this is an infinitely more soulful experience than any modern Cineworld or Odeon.

An unmissable classic cinema experience showing a refreshingly diverse range of flicks. The auditorium is grand, elegant and plush, with each film bring personally introduced by the cinema owner! This is a nice touch and something I've never experienced before at a cinema. The sound is not overly loud or booming which is important for me, as if so I would walk out.

Beautiful art, Deco decoration and fantastically comfortable seating. Lovely social atmosphere with a bar and if you're on the ground floor table seating too
